Afgelopen zaterdag werd er vreedzaam gedemonstreerd op het Domplein in Utrecht voor een revolutie in Syrië en om stil te staan bij de honderdduizenden slachtoffers onder het bewind van president Abbas. En om specifiek de chemische aanval op 1400 burgers te herdenken die elf jaar geleden plaatsvond. Een krachtig samenzijn van de Syrische gemeenschap in Utrecht met kunst, muziek maken, gedichten voordragen, samen treuren en dansen.

On August 17, 2024, the free men and women of Suwayda will mark their first year of daily peaceful protests in their movement to overthrow the regime, reaffirm the goals of the revolution, and demand the implementation of international resolutions, mainly the UN Resolution 2254.
On this day, we also remember the eleventh anniversary of the chemical massacre that claimed the lives of 1400 civilians, most of them children and women.
Join us at 2:00 PM at Domplein in Utrecht, Netherlands, in support of our people in Syria and in remembrance of the regime’s massacres against civilians.

Photo exhibition commemorating the victims of the chemical attack, accompanied by music. Demonstration on the occasion of the anniversary of the Suwayda movement, with the participation of the Donia Choir.
